Sicilian Taimanov English Attack 8.0–0–0 Be7 9.f3 h5

The ...h5 Restraining Plan vs. English Attack
The Taimanov Sicilian is very popular but still black has to be wary of the English Attack plan of f3-g4 and a kingside pawn storm. A new trend in the Najdorf is the ...h5 restraining plan and this has found its way over to the Taimanov variation.

GM Macieja,B used this idea to win a nice game in th Dallas FIDE Open in rd3 against Canadian IM Calugar,A.

Position 1
Black has a fine ending but the hard work was done in the opening when the quick ...h5 discourage the g4 attack plan so much that white did not bother to even begin the attack.

What do you recommend for black now?

Black to Play
